Local campaigner interviewed live on BBC1

Still from Kerry's interview on BBC1's Breakfast Show

York People’s Assembly campaigner Kerry appeared on BBC1’s Breakfast show on Wednesday. She spoke about her experience of being sent to Harrogate when she had a crisis that left her needing to be in hospital. She also highlighted cases of patients from our area being sent as far away as Middlesborough and Sunderland due to cutbacks that have left a huge lack of beds. Click ‘continue reading’ to watch the full interview.

Kerry also used her interview to describe how talking therapy waiting lists in our city have reached 17 months, whilst the St Andrews House clinical psychology service is being closed down. Later, she appeared on the BBC Radio York phone-in and a pre-recorded interview she had given was used on BBC1 news bulletins throughout the day.
