Local plans for ‘Bonfire of Austerity’ announced

Bonfire of Austerity - 5 Nov 2013 w/No Cuts logo

The day is a great chance for all local People’s Assemblies to take action and challenge the government’s messages.

Our plans are set and we’re ready to announce what we hope will be a great day in York for the movement against cutbacks, sell-offs and worsening living standards. We’ll begin at lunch time with a creative artwork based around a model bonfire, plus food to share.

Then from 4pm we’ll gather in St Helen’s Square for a festival of free speech, with an open microphone for people to share their thoughts. You can find full details, updated as plans develop, on our Bonfire of Austerity page.
