Keep East Coast on Track!

Despite making vital money for the government, East Coast is under threat of private take-over, again.

Against all possible wisdom and national interest, the government is steaming ahead with the re-privatisation of East Coast train services that connect our city with London, Newcastle and Scotland. The TSSA union, who represent many of East Coast’s staff in our city, have planned a meeting for this Wednesday (30th) at 7.30pm at the Priory Street Centre. The meeting is aimed at passengers and the public, and will be see Lilian Greenwood MP, Labour’s shadow rail minister speak alongside Andi Fox, TSSA rep and an East Coast staff member.

  1. Meeting was really motivating – really old idea to get everyone chatting n grips and sharing back ideas. They are planning an action next Tuesday morning at the station.

    • I realise you probably don’t have a photo, but if you could please email me a short report (possibly just elaborate on the one you put on the Facebook group) it will probably appear on here on Saturday.
