At 6.30pm on Friday night, 20 workers emerged from the station on crutches and zimmer frames, highlighting the ages they’re being expected to work to. Support from the public was exceptionally good. BBC News Channel reported live from the scene, and two of our members, armed with food for the pickets, were briefly caught on camera. A further strike took place this morning.
