In just 8 weeks’ time the People’s Assembly “No More Austerity” march will take our demands for an alternative to both the BBC and Parliament. The time has come to grab a coach ticket! The march and festival on Saturday 21st June is being organised in conjunction with the NUT and will include a special focus on education issues.
Statements of support for the march have poured in from Russell Brand to former Archbishop Rowan Williams, and from Francesca Martinez to Caroline Lucas MP. Join us for a day of united resistance to Cameron’s Cuts!
Our coach will be leaving at 8am from the Memorial Gardens coach stop on Leeman Road (also the Megabus stop) and we hope to be back in York about 11pm. We’re appealing for help with spreading the word: we want to get the message in to workplaces and community groups that the march is happening and that everyone who can make it should get a ticket and come along.
Coach tickets are £20 if you’re waged and £10 unwaged (this includes accompanied under-16s). You can buy online through Eventbrite or at our meetings and other events in the coming weeks.
