Protest works for Cambridge Mental Health service users

Signs on doors of occupied Cambridge mental health serviceAfter spending five months occupying their drop-in centre, Cambridgeshire service users are celebrating a deal with local mental health bosses to keep a vital lifeline open. Lifeworks in Cambridge was threatened with closure, but now users and managers have agreed to maintain the service for the next 5 years. As welll as occupying, they held street stalls around the county and meet with everyone from local managers to government ministers. The campaign continues in search of an improved deal and better national provision.
